1. This announcement is related to the students whose residence is in Turkey and KKTC and who will be accepted to the dormitories on the basis of their points.

2. Students mentioned above will be registered according to the grades indicated in the list and between the final registration times showed on the announcement board.

3. Final registration announcements will contain the minimum and the maximum grades for registration to the dorms and the information about the time of the registrations. The announcements will also contain the necessary information about when the following announcement will be declared and if the point is single, the application sequence numbers belonging to that point will also be announced.

4. Students who miss their turn;

a) Students who have deserved to be accepted to the dormitories according to the points stated on the final registration announcement will lose their right to be registered according to the points stated on the list.
b) Students who have applied for this academic year and missed their turn should fill the application form over again if they want to be considered in line. (The forms will be obtained from the secretarial).
c) The grades of those students who want to be considered in line again are set out according to the formula valid for this time (the maximum grade to the final registration to dorms+15)-(100-student’s grade) =new grade. The student will be accepted with this new grade.

5.Late applicants:

a.The grades of those students who apply after two weeks from the beginning of the academic year are determined according to the maximum grade which was valid in the normal application period. Generally, this grade would be lower. The decision related to this application is done in order to prevent those who applied later from taking precedence over those who applied in the normal application period.
b. The grades of those students who applied late will be announced on the following Monday after the application. These students should check the list on Monday. Those whose turns come will be registered if they apply in 5 day’s time. 
6.If there are too many students in the same grade level for the vacancies in the dorms to be filled then students will be accepted according to their application number. 

THE REGISTRATION METHOD FOR NEWLY ACCEPTED STUDENTS TO THE DORMITORIES

1. By examining the final registration announcements, find out whether you are eligible for being accepted to the dorms on the basis of their points. (The time of the next announcement will be stated in everybody’s announcement. Those whose turn has not come should follow these announcements carefully. Those who miss their turn will lose their right

2. If your grade is well enough to be accepted to the dorms and your necessary documents are complete, you can register at the dorm administrative board by bringing your identity card and application receipt.

3. Apply to the relevant administrative board that you want before 16:00 pm along with the registration cards that you will be provided with. The registration process will be carried out in the dorm in question

4. You will be given the number of your room and bed. Then, after the process is completed you will receive the deposit and the receipt.

5. The deposit and the receipt will be paid to iş bankası and you will be back at your dorm with the account. You will take your bed clothes and cupboard keys. (Make sure that the number of your bed clothes and cupboard keys match with your room and bed number). 

Required Documents for the final registration
 
1. student certificate (university identity card)
2. 10 photographs (4.5x 6 cm) (two for the criminal record)
3. 3 residence certificates (two for the criminal record)
4. tuberculosis report
5. criminal report (it will be taken from METU gendarme station)
6. Passport and the photocopy of the residency document (for students from KKTC).
7. Father’s salary report (if the mother is also working then hers, also).
8. If the parents are separated then the photocopy of the divorce declaration
9.The identity card photocopy of the brothers or sisters who are having higher education.
10.If the father (or mother) is retired then his 3-month salary report.

Note: Executive Board of the Dormitories registration office will be open between 09:30 – 11:30 and 13:30 – 15:30.
It is required that there not be any private interview between those hours.
